For Philippe Starck, the Miss Trip chair produced by Kartell aims to satisfy two aspects: modernity by using synthetic materials for the seat instead of traditionnal solid wood thus achieving lightness and economy of material, and emotional by using some wood , albeit plywood for the legs and back where it is least bulky. When fully disassembled, the Miss Trip chair fits into a small box.
